Pablo Suárez addresses three-dimensionality in the times of the Esmeralda, under the tutelage of the artist Luc Flores in the monumental sculpture workshop and the Compadres Outsiders group. The three-dimensional work responds to an expressive insufficiency on a pictorial level, the pieces made range from the readymade to crude pop interpretations of the naive to the grotesque. Beyond the Esmeralda, his three-dimensional work has been based more on commissions, generally associated with Mexican folklore, than on his own initiative; the three-dimensional work transcended the performative in search of life to the work of art.
Pablo Suárez aborda la tridimensionalidad en los tiempos de la Esmeralda, bajo la tutela del artista Luc Flores en el taller de escultura monumental y el grupo Compadres Outsiders. La obra tridimensional responde a una insuficiencia expresiva en un nivel pictórico, las piezas realizadas van desde lo readymade a interpretaciones burdas pop de lo ingenuo a lo grotesco. Más allá de la Esmeralda su obra tridimensional ha radicado más en encargos, generalmente asociados al folclor mexicano, que de iniciativa propia; la obra tridimensional trascendió a lo performático en busca de vida a la obra de arte.
